All members are invited to request a slot on the Open Mic agenda for our November meeting. Authors will have up to five minutes to read a portion of any work-in-progress and get feedback from the audience about the reading.
Members who wish to read must send a message to the Meeting Coordinator, Janet Travers, at janettravers92@gmail.com. Include the name of the piece that will be read. Speakers will be selected on a first come-first served basis. We estimate 12 readings will be included in the program. Janet will maintain a waiting list of names in case a substitution is needed.
Selected readers should practice their pieces to ensure they can complete what they choose to read within five minutes. Authors may edit the piece either to fit within five minutes or to ensure they reach an enticing point at which to stop within three minutes.
